DeWalt DW6182 Heavy-Duty Plunge Base
 
The DeWalt heavy-duty plunge base features an adjustable, tool-free steel motor cam lock for quick and solid-locking depth adjustment and base changes. An integral through-the-column dust collection collects 95-percent of dust and provides superior bit visibility. Made with precision machined brass bushings with case-hardened steel guide rods, the base provides a smooth and accurate plunge stroke. A clear, LEXAN sub-base offers enhanced base durability, bit visibility, and accepts standard template guide bushings. Rubber overmolded handles, a low center-of-gravity design, and an easy to reach plunge lever give the user balance, comfort and control. With five position, the adjustable turret stop assists in stepped or repeated plunge cuts. Fixed Base is designed ot fit the DW616/618 Routers. The micro-fine depth adjustment ring provides precise depth adjustments in 1/64" increments and adjusts vertically for a constant switch/cordset location. Adjustable, tool-free steel motor cam lock makes depth adjustment and base changes quick and solid-locking, with quick release motor latches for fast and easy motor pack removal for bit and base changes. It has rubber overmolded handles and a low center of gravity design which provides best-in-class comfort, balance, and control. A heavy-duty, precision machined, die-cast aluminum base and motor housing for durability and low tool weight.
